Rick’s passion is making disciples who make disciples. He grew up in a religion that held that God was not knowable, that denied the Trinity and the deity of Jesus Christ and rejected the need for salvation. He came to know Jesus Christ as his Savior through some amazing events when he was 18.

Rick has been in pastoral ministry in two churches in the western suburbs of Chicago for 43 years, serving in roles as Youth Pastor, Adult Ministries, Campus Pastor and Global Outreach Pastor. He has traveled to over 43 countries in Asia, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Europe. As Global Pastor he trained and coached church planters and assisted in many church planting movements around the world. Rick holds a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary in Old Testament and Semitic Languages and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is an adjunct professor at Moldova Bible Seminary in Chisinau where he has taught for the past 18 years. He is ordained in the Evangelical Free Church of America.

Currently Rick is the Pastor of Discipleship at Grace Pointe Church in Naperville Illinois. He continues to travel to Asia and Europe. Rick is married to Nancy, celebrating their 50th year in 2025. They have two sons and two grandchildren.
